Ao Namao (or Ao Nam Mao)

Ao Namao (often spoken as Ao Nam Mao or Anamao) stretches from shell fossil beach to the south side of Ao Nang. Between Ao Nang beach and Krabi town. Boats can be taken from the pier here to Railey East beach. The beach at Ao Namao is as yet, pretty much undeveloped. The high class Amatapura development is on the beach.

The inland area of Ao Namao actually borders onto Ao Nang and has become popular for residential villa developments, most of them are fairly small scale however a larger development of 20 or so villas and a lot of shop houses has been announced on the main road between Ao Nang and Ao Namao. In all areas of Ao Namao, apart from the beach itself, there are lots of plots of land available for sale. It won't be long before Ao Namao and Ao Nang actually merge.

From Ao nang beach you can get the road which leads to the fossil shell and just before to reach it you will find Namao beach.

This beach allow you to feel in a wild place where just some resorts among the palm trees are available but at the same time brings to you, through Ao nang beach, all the facilities at just 5 minutes by car.
