Ao Prao (or Ao Phrao) Beach

Ao Prao is one of the quietest beaches of Koh Samet. Located quite far away from the lively nightlife of Koh Samet; Ao Prao is preferred by travelers who quietly enjoy the deep blue sea and white sand in the sunshine. Ao Prao has a long white sandy beach which is ideal for swimming.

A scenic bay with a sweeping shallow beach, Ao Prao was once home to a few budget guesthouses but they're all gone now leaving just three mid to top-end resorts making Ao Prao among the most luxurious option on Koh Samet.

Despite the luxury resorts, Ao Prao remains a great beach to visit on a daytrip or in the late afternoon and evening to watch the spectacular sunset and follow it up with a splash-out meal.

There are a couple of restaurants on the beach that non-guests are welcome to eat at, but if you try to jump in one of the pools, expect to be chased away.
